In April 2017, StoneStreet Wealth Management of Mooresville, North Carolina joined forces with Signature Wealth Group, a Florence, South Carolina-based financial services practice. StoneStreet made the move with the aim to provide clients with more options and individual attention while streamlining the back-end business side of the StoneStreet’s financial service practice. The partnership helps StoneStreet with compliance, marketing, personnel services, office administration, and other systems while allowing them to focus on serving their clients.

“We joined Signature Wealth Group because we wanted to partner with great people and build our business,” said John Chidwick, Managing Partner, SWS Senior Wealth Advisor, RJFS, the co-founder of StoneStreet Wealth Management. “Signature Wealth Group allows us to focus our energy on serving our clients by taking the hassle out of running the business aspect of a financial services practice.”

Pooling resources for personnel, compliance, and other systems with Signature Wealth Group helps StoneStreet. Like StoneStreet, Signature Wealth Group is an independent practice of advisors who offer securities through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC.

Financial services practices continue to evolve. New computer systems and compliance requirements often take advisors, who are small businesses like many of the clients they represent, away from focusing their practice on their clients’ needs. There is also an increase in complexity due to government regulation. Many advisors are looking to partnerships like these to grow their practices and shift the focus back to what they enjoy and do best, serving their clients with financial planning advice.

StoneStreet partnered with Signature Wealth and transitioned from IFG/Russell to Raymond James. The diverse skill sets brought together by the two is something distinct, there is a synergy between the two practices that their clients in North Carolina and South Carolina may not even notice at first. It brings together vital support areas to help advisors continue to build their successful practices while also offering more investment and retirement planning choices to clients.

“As wholesalers in the Carolinas for much of the last twenty years, Tripp and I have spent time with hundreds of advisors,” said Chidwick. “When we started our practice in 2015, we got the opportunity to experience the wealth management business from the advisors’ side of the desk. At Signature, we use our collective experiences to help improve both the client and advisor experiences. We get to focus less of our attention on running a business and more of it on our clients where our focus belongs.”

Where StoneStreet once had to split time between advising clients and the running a small business, joining forces with Signature Wealth Group now allows the team more time to focus on the advising side of things.
